The Ixworth Cross is a pectoral cross made from gold and garnets dating from the 7th century, discovered as part of a bed burial in an Anglo-Saxon cemetery.
The original piece is part of the collection at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
This recreation piece was 3D modeled from photos of the original piece. The piece is printed and lost wax cast in sterling silver, the colouring of the garnets is reproduced using vitreous enamel, the piece is then gold plated using electroplating.
